Overall, Fat Princess is an entertaining experience. It’s not groundbreaking like Team Fortress 2, but it’s close. Think of it like Chili’s or TGI Fridays. You go for the atmosphere, the cheap drinks and to hang out with friends; food is just a plus.
The Good
Slapstick humor: Everything from the start menu to credits will keep you laughing.
Kind of like Sponge Bob: The cell-shaded graphics are a big plus. It’s overly cutesy with just the right amount of blood and gore.
Oh, I get it: The controls are very easy to pick up and play, you should get a handle on it in less than five minutes.
The Bad
Really, Just two weapons?: A third upgrade for each class would have made harvesting upgrades later in the gamer more appealing.
The Ugly
I wasn’t exaggerating: Don’t be surprised if it takes longer to find a match than it does to play one.
Recommendation: The price may be steep if you don’t have friends playing with you. But if a group of you have Playstation 3s, $15 is well worth it for this bite-size game.
Playthrough Details: I beat the single player in about two hours and once I found a decent host to connect with, I played an easy 12 hours.
